Here we keep you informed about what is currently moving our hydrogen world.

Maximator Hydrogen is expanding its market position and embarking on its next phase of growth.

A significant capital increase by the Schmidt Kranz Group strengthens Maximator Hydrogen GmbH's market position and technological expansion.

The specialist in refueling systems and compressors posted a positive operating result (EBITDA) in 2025 on revenue of more than 50 million EUR and is further expanding its leading role in the European H2 market with an order backlog of well over 60 million EUR.

The Schmidt Kranz Group will also increase the company’s equity by more than 40 million EUR as of July 31, 2026.

The capital increase demonstrates confidence in the business model and underscores the company’s commitment to long-term customer relationships and sustainable growth.

“We remain convinced that hydrogen is indispensable for sustainable mobility solutions, and as a family-owned company with a long-term perspective, we are driving this development forward. With the goal of achieving leadership in technology and efficiency, Maximator Hydrogen continues to bring innovative solutions to market that sustainably increase profitability for our customers,” says Mortimer Glinz, managing partner of the Schmidt Kranz Group.

Stable demand, ongoing major projects.

Demand for H2 refueling stations and trailer refueling has stabilized, and the regulatory framework is providing operators in heavy-duty transport, public transit, and industry with greater planning certainty.

Maximator Hydrogen operates more than 70 H2 refueling stations in Europe, with nearly 3,000 metric tons of hydrogen dispensed, and is currently delivering systems to Poland, Sweden, Germany, Switzerland, and the U.S., among other locations.

In collaboration with partners from the corporate group—including PEM electrolyzer manufacturer FEST GmbH and MAT Energy Systems GmbH—a facility with 9 MW of electrolysis capacity and trailer and pipeline refueling capabilities is currently being built for Stadtwerke Stuttgart GmbH.

High plant availability is crucial for operators. State-of-the-art connectivity and remote control of the plants enable real-time monitoring with fast response times. The group’s comprehensive service network for H₂ applications is also unique. In other European countries, service partners from the corporate group handle on-site maintenance and repairs.

With a strengthened capital base, continued growth in customer trust, and experience gained from operating existing facilities, Maximator Hydrogen aims to expand the further rollout of H2 infrastructure in Europe in a practical, collaborative, and long-term manner.
